BOSS jewellery is manufactured and distributed by Movado Group under an exclusive licence from HUGO BOSS AG. The jewellery line launched in 2020, extending a partnership that began with BOSS watches in 2005. Movado Group's precision manufacturing expertise, combined with the BOSS brand's heritage in premium tailoring, defines the design language of the collection.
Brand Heritage
Hugo Ferdinand Boss founded the company in 1924 in Metzingen, Germany. The brand built its reputation on sharp, precise tailoring for men, and expanded steadily across the twentieth century into a global premium fashion group. Today HUGO BOSS operates two brands — BOSS and HUGO — across clothing, accessories, watches, and jewellery in over 128 countries.
The jewellery collection sits within the BOSS brand identity: structured, confident, and rooted in clean design rather than ornamentation for its own sake. Pieces translate the brand's tailoring instincts into wearable accessories — precise lines, considered proportions, and signature branding that is present but not loud.
The Double B Monogram
The Double B monogram was introduced as a signature motif for the BOSS brand in Spring/Summer 2024. It places two interlocking B initials at the centre of the design — a direct expression of the brand name and a deliberately bold piece of identity design. Where earlier BOSS jewellery relied on engraved logos and understated branding, the Double B is intended to be visible and recognisable.
The motif appears across the Double B Divine collection in earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, and has since extended across BOSS clothing and accessories. It functions as a unified brand symbol across product categories in the same way a fashion house uses a recurring motif — consistent across scale and context.
Materials and Construction
BOSS jewellery uses stainless steel as its primary material. Stainless steel is chosen for its durability, resistance to tarnishing, and reduced risk of skin reactions — it contains low levels of nickel compared to many base metal alloys used in fashion jewellery. The material also holds plated finishes well, making gold-tone and silver-tone variants more stable over time than brass-based alternatives.
Crystal embellishments across the Double B Divine collection are set into the metal framework rather than applied on the surface, which improves the longevity of the stone setting under everyday wear.
Manufacturing
BOSS jewellery is manufactured by Movado Group, which has produced BOSS watches since 2005 and expanded into jewellery under the same licence in 2020. Movado's watchmaking background informs the precision of the jewellery construction — tolerances, finishing, and quality control standards originate from the same manufacturing environment as the watch collections. The current licence agreement between HUGO BOSS AG and Movado Group runs through the end of 2026.
Who Wears BOSS Jewellery
The collection is designed for both women and men. The Double B Divine range targets women primarily, with stud earrings, bracelets, and pendant necklaces in silver-tone and gold-tone finishes. Men's jewellery across the wider BOSS range includes bracelets in leather and stainless steel, ID-style necklaces, and rings. The design philosophy across both is the same — branded, structured, and suited to everyday wear rather than occasion-only use.
Care
Stainless steel jewellery requires less maintenance than plated brass but should still be kept away from prolonged moisture, perfumes, and cosmetics. Apply BOSS jewellery as a final step in your routine. Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Store separately to avoid surface contact with harder materials.
