What is ISO 6425 certification?
ISO 6425 is the international standard for dive watches. A watch meeting this standard must withstand 125% of its stated water resistance, resist anti-magnetic fields, withstand shock and have a minimum 10ATM rating. The Citizen Promaster Tough and Auto Diver both meet or exceed ISO 6425 — making them genuine dive watches, not just splash-resistant casual watches.
What is Citizen Super Titanium?
Super Titanium is Citizen's proprietary titanium alloy, surface-hardened using the Duratect process to make it 5× harder than standard steel. It is 40% lighter than steel and hypoallergenic. The Promaster Tough strap watch uses Super Titanium — you'll notice the significantly reduced wrist weight compared to a stainless steel dive watch.
Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive vs automatic — which is better for diving?
Both are rated for diving (200–300m). The Eco-Drive Promaster is lower maintenance — solar-powered, no battery or servicing required for the movement.
