Chlobo Stacking & Layering Guide
This is a supporting guide to our ChloBo Jewellery Guide.
This guide covers how to build a ChloBo stack — the styling principles, texture mixing, and layering techniques that create a cohesive wrist story.
The Rule of Three
The foundational principle: mix three different textures to create visual depth.
| Element | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Small Beads | Delicate foundation texture | Mini Small Ball bracelet |
| Large Beads | Bold focal point | Large Ball bracelet |
| Charm Piece | Narrative anchor with meaning | Feather, Hamsa, or Lotus charm |
This ensures your stack looks intentional rather than cluttered. Contrast between delicate and bold creates visual interest; the charm provides symbolic meaning.
Building Your First Stack
Step 1: Choose Your Charm
Start with the piece that carries the most meaning. This becomes the narrative anchor. Ask: what do I need right now? Guidance? Protection? Growth?
Step 2: Add Texture Contrast
Pair your charm with one small-bead and one large-bead piece for the visual balance the Rule of Three demands.
Step 3: Choose Metal Tone
Single metal creates elegance. Mixed metals create personality. Both work — consistency or contrast, but make it intentional.
Step 4: Expand Over Time
Odd numbers work best (3, 5, 7). Limit charms to 1–2 per stack. Mark milestones with new pieces — your stack becomes a physical timeline.
Stack Examples by Intention
Protection Stack
Hamsa Hand charm + Evil Eye detail + small silver beads + large silver beads
New Beginnings
Lotus Flower charm + Butterfly detail + mixed bead sizes in gold
Guidance Stack
Feather charm + Star detail + Moon detail + varied silver textures
Love & Self-Care

Necklace & Ring Layering
Necklace Lengths
- Choker (35–40cm): Base of the neck
- Mid-length (40–45cm): Collarbone
- Pendant (45–50cm): Below collarbone
- Long (60cm+): Dramatic vertical line
Ring Stacking
Mix thin bands with charm-topped rings. Layer 2–3 on one finger or spread across multiple fingers for a curated look.
Sizing for Stacking
| Category | Standard Size |
|---|---|
| Women’s | 18 cm |
| Men’s | 20 cm |
| Children’s (3+) | 15 cm |
Consistent sizing means every piece sits at the same wrist position, creating a unified look. Size alterations available for adult bracelets.
Care for Stacked Pieces
- Remove entire stack before contact with water, perfume, or cosmetics
- Store stacked pieces together to maintain their “set” identity
- Clean each piece individually with a polishing cloth
- Rotate stacks seasonally to distribute wear

Frequently Asked Questions
How many bracelets should I stack?
Start with three (the Rule of Three) and expand from there. Odd numbers (3, 5, 7) create more visual balance. Limit charm pieces to 1–2 per stack so focal points do not compete.
Can I mix silver and gold ChloBo pieces?
Yes. All ChloBo pieces share a 925 sterling silver base regardless of plating. Mixing metals adds warmth and personality — include at least two pieces of each tone so the contrast looks intentional.
Are ChloBo bracelets one size?
Standard women’s bracelets are 18cm, men’s are 20cm, children’s are 15cm. Made-to-measure alterations are available for adult bracelets (not children’s).
