The cell keeps the watch running even in the dark. In full charge, most Eco-Drive watches run for 6–12 months in complete darkness.
Can Citizen Eco-Drive charge indoors?
Yes — Eco-Drive charges under any light source, including office lighting, table lamps and LED lights. Outdoor sunlight charges fastest; indoor light charges more slowly but continuously. A watch placed near a window or under regular indoor lighting will maintain charge indefinitely.
