The Birth of the Composable® Bracelet

Paolo Gensini launched the Composable® bracelet in Florence in 1987, creating a new category of modular jewellery. Each stainless steel link was topped with 18k gold letters and joined by a patented spring mechanism, allowing people to spell out their names or assemble symbols that told their story. It became the foundation of an international trend and a defining piece of 1990s–2000s fashion culture.

Today’s bracelets retain that original spirit: wearable storytelling designed to be personalised, collected and rebuilt over time.

Materials, Construction & Link Engineering

Each bracelet is built from hypoallergenic stainless steel for durability and everyday comfort. Decorative links use 18k yellow and rose gold, 9k gold, sterling silver, enamel, cubic zirconia, gemstones, diamonds and pearls depending on the design. The patented spring system provides a secure, tool-free connection that makes resizing effortless.

Standard Classic links measure approximately 0.97 × 0.90 cm, with double-width links available for names and larger motifs.

Italian charm bracelets dominated youth culture in the late 1990s and early 2000s before returning in force during the 2023–2024 revival. Sizing, Care & Warranty

Bracelet sizing is achieved by adding or removing links. A snug fit is wrist measurement + 2 links; a comfortable fit is + 3 links. Standard women’s bracelets are around 18 links, while men often wear 20–22. Avoid water, chemicals and cosmetics to preserve enamel and plated details.
