Which Tissot PRX watches sell best at OD's?
Our top-selling PRX: PRX 40mm Blue Dial Quartz, PRX Powermatic 80 Blue Dial and PRX Green Dial Quartz. The blue dial quartz is consistently our most popular Tissot — the price-to-quality ratio for a Swiss-made integrated bracelet watch is exceptional.
What is the history of the Tissot PRX?
The Tissot PRX was originally launched in 1978 as a slim sport-chic watch — a competitor to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus integrated-bracelet designs of that era. Tissot relaunched the PRX in 2021 to its original 1970s specifications. The integrated bracelet and stepped case profile are direct references to the 1978 original.
PRX quartz vs PRX Powermatic 80 — which is better?
PRX quartz: accurate to ±15 seconds per month, battery replacement every 2–4 years, lower maintenance cost. PRX Powermatic 80: self-winding automatic, 80-hour power reserve, no battery needed — requires servicing every 8–10 years. Choose quartz for accuracy and low cost; choose Powermatic 80 for the mechanical experience.
Is the Tissot PRX water resistant?
Yes — the Tissot PRX is water resistant to 10ATM (100 metres). Suitable for swimming and light water sports. Not rated for scuba diving. Remove before extended submersion in salt water to preserve the bracelet finish.
