Every order is delivered by DPD and handed over against a PIN code. Here is how it works and why we do it.

How it works

  1. We dispatch. DPD sends you a tracking link and a unique PIN code by text and email.
  2. On the morning of delivery DPD sends your one-hour delivery slot.
  3. The driver asks for the PIN. Read it out or show the message and the parcel is yours.

Why we use a PIN

It protects you.
The parcel is handed only to someone with your code. Nothing left on a doorstep, in a porch or with a neighbour you did not choose, and no stranger signing for your order.

It protects us too.
We are a family-run shop, trading on Barrow Street since 2015. Every parcel that goes missing, every “it never arrived” that turns out to be a stolen card, is a loss we carry ourselves. The PIN stops the few from costing everyone, and it keeps our prices where they are.

It takes ten seconds.
Read the code to the driver, or show them the text. That is it.

Good to know

  • Someone else taking it in? Forward them the PIN. The driver needs the code, not you.
  • Not going to be in? Use the link in DPD’s message to pick another day.
  • Lost the PIN? Resend it from DPD’s tracking link, or call us on 01744 730985 and we will sort it.
  • The PIN is there to protect your order. DPD cannot leave it with a neighbour or in a safe place without it.
  • Prefer to skip delivery altogether? Click & Collect is free from 41 Barrow Street, same day if you order before 4pm Monday to Saturday.
  • Would rather not use the PIN at all? Ring us on 01744 730985 or email sales@odsjewellers.com, and we can quote you next-day delivery with another courier.
