Clogau Bracelets
Clogau Bracelets
Clogau bracelets blend rare Welsh gold heritage with contemporary craftsmanship, creating meaningful pieces suited for daily wear and milestone gifting. Every qualifying bracelet contains a trace of Welsh gold from the historic St David’s mine in North Wales—linking each design to over a century of royal tradition and Welsh national identity. These bracelets are more than accessories; they are small, wearable pieces of British history.
The collection includes elegant chain bracelets, charm styles, mixed-metal designs, and signature Tree of Life motifs. Crafted using sterling silver finished with rhodium plating, along with 9ct and 18ct gold enriched with Welsh gold, each bracelet delivers durability, lustre, and long-term wear. Whether you prefer a fine everyday piece or a standout bracelet with symbolic meaning, Clogau offers designs that stand apart from typical high-street jewellery.

Welsh Gold Heritage & Royal Connection
At the heart of every Clogau bracelet is the inclusion of rare Welsh gold from the St David’s mine. First discovered in 1854 and commercially worked until 1911, the mine produced around 80,000 ounces of gold, becoming the UK's most significant domestic source. After closing permanently in 1998, the remaining stock became finite and highly valuable. Clogau preserves this heritage by incorporating a trace of Welsh gold into every qualifying bracelet.
Welsh gold became part of royal tradition in 1923, when Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon—later The Queen Mother—chose it for her wedding ring. Subsequent royal brides, including Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have followed the same tradition. Wearing a Clogau bracelet connects the wearer to this unique lineage.
Craftsmanship, Metals & Stones
Clogau bracelets are crafted from sterling silver with rhodium plating to enhance shine and reduce tarnish. Fine jewellery designs feature 9ct and 18ct gold enriched with Welsh gold, giving each bracelet its symbolic provenance. Mixed-metal combinations blend rose and white tones for versatile styling.
Many designs include natural diamonds sourced under the Kimberley Process and World Diamond Council standards, with stones typically near-colourless and eye-clean. Select bracelets feature natural gemstones or cultured pearls chosen for their lustre, durability, and character.
The Welsh Dragon hallmark and “CG” stamp on qualifying bracelets confirm the presence of authentic Welsh gold.
Design Identity & Styling
Clogau bracelets draw heavily from the brand’s design DNA: Tree of Life® motifs symbolising growth and connection, Celtic patterns celebrating Welsh heritage, and mixed-metal elements inspired by traditional and modern Welsh artistry. These motifs make the bracelets ideal for meaningful gifting—birthdays, anniversaries, and milestone family events.
Designs range from delicate chains suited to everyday wear to more expressive charm and motif-based bracelets that coordinate easily with matching necklaces, earrings, or rings across the wider Clogau collection.
Care, Warranty & OD’s Aftercare
Rhodium-plated bracelets benefit from occasional re-plating every one to three years, depending on wear. Rose gold elements may naturally deepen over time, forming a distinctive patina. Clogau offers a two-year warranty when items are registered within 30 days; unregistered items receive a one-year standard warranty.
OD's Jewellers provides full aftercare for all Clogau bracelets, including adjustments, clean-and-check appointments, and warranty support. Our team ensures each bracelet is maintained to the highest standard.
Clogau bracelets blend classic elegance with the unique charm of Welsh gold. Complete your jewellery set with matching necklaces, earrings and coordinating bangles.
